I was reading in MotherEarthNews about putting fishing line up to deter deer.
It works! I surrounded my garden with one line of 50lb test fishing line, chest high. The dear touched the line and skedaddled. Not a single plant was disturbed.
Not so lucky was my bird feeder. I set it down on the ground to water the area it was hanging over and the deer broke it up and ate every bit of the sunflower seeds in it.
